Generating a Business Logo – Using MidJourney

Business logos should be clear and memorable. There are multiple AI tools available to generate images from text. In this example, I will use MidJourney as it is one of the best AI image generating tools on the market today.

All prompts for MidJourney start with ‘Imagine:’.

Each image MidJourney generates is actually a collection of 4 different images. The MidJourney tool provides buttons below each image and allows you to separate out the images you prefer.

Here is our prompt to MidJourney to generate our business logo:

Imagine:
A logo for a company that provides virtual metaverse event planning. Two overlapping circles and a line. It should resemble a spark or a flame. Utilize #54A6F3 as a primary color. Utilize #FFCE00 as the accent color.

This is a great start!

As a side note, most image generation tools cannot generate text in the images. It will come out garbled and unreadable.

We will use a logo text generator to generate our text. Then use PhotoShop or Paint to apply the text to our logo image.

For the purpose of this example, I will choose the logo in the lower right corner.

There are tools online for generating professional looking text/fonts. Here are a few

You can use these tools to enter your company name. Then select which fonts you prefer. You can then download the fonts to your computer (or website).

For this example, I used PowerPoint to overlay text onto my logo. I decided to use one of the included fonts in PowerPoint (Berlin Sans FB) however…I think it looks better. When the logo is as you like, you can crop and save as an image file.

On a MacBook, I simply performed a screen grab and cropped the logo. I then saved it as a PNG file.
