Generate Stunning Midjourney Images with Bard: A Complete Guide

What is MidJourney?

Midjourney is a generative artificial intelligence (AI) program and service created and hosted by San Francisco-based independent research lab Midjourney, Inc. It uses a neural network trained on a massive dataset of text and images to generate images from natural language descriptions, called “prompts”.

Midjourney has the potential to be a powerful tool for artists, designers, and other creative professionals. It can also be used for fun and entertainment to generate unique and interesting images.

What are prompts?

In the context of Midjourney, a prompt is a text description of the image you want to generate. Prompts can be as simple as a single word, but more descriptive prompts will generally produce better results. For example, the prompt “cat” will likely produce a generic image of a cat, while the prompt “a fluffy black cat sitting on a red couch in a sunny room” is more likely to produce a unique and interesting image.

Good Prompts Are Specific and Descriptive

It is import to include details when generating a prompt. It is rare to have MidJourney generate the exact image you are imagining on the first try, usually you need to iterate. With each iteration, you will test adding more details, adding negative details (this feature will be described more later) and even removing details (words that MidJourney doesn’t understand, there are more than you think).

I prefer using a text editor as a clipboard when creating AI prompts. It’s easier to write and edit prompts in a text editor, and then copy and paste them into the AI program. Then, if I need to tweak the prompt, I can simply edit it in notepad and copy-and-paste the new prompt. This saves having to retype the entire prompt each time I need to make a change.

Remember Context

When working with Bard or ChatGPT, the AI’s try to apply context to your inputs. This means it considers your previous inputs when generating the next response. Sometimes, this can get in the way when trying to generated image prompts.

To make sure this doesn’t happen, create a new session/chat each time you want to generate MidJourney prompts.

Example – Generating a logo for a store that sells baby products

Creating a logo can be a time-consuming process. Thankfully, AI can help.

In this example, we have a company that sells baby products. We want a logo that conveys the cuteness of babies combined with high-quality equipment such as strollers, bouncers, and other accessories.

Lets start creating the prompt:

Input:
